Apple iPad 3 News: Release Date on February 2012 , Specs and Features

While Samsung is about to introduce a new Galaxy Tab with a stunning 2560x1600 display in February, Apple plans to release a tablet launch in February of next year. The Apple Inc.'s next-generation tablet is dubbed iPad 3. According to a Citi analyst named Richard Gardner, the newest tablet “will boast a Retina display double the resolution of Apple's most recent model, the iPad 2 and Siri”. Apple fans also think that the technology giant has planned to launch iPad 3 in February to coincide with the birthday of its late co-founder Steve Jobs on 24 February.

Reportedly, the upcoming iPad 3 will be 0.7mm thicker than Apple's current iPad devices as it is required to accommodate dual-light bars needed for a higher-resolution display. A thicker iPad would mean Apple is powered with a number of specs into the device, which could include Retina Display and Dual LED backlight, a better camera, quad-core processor and etc.

Apple needs new LED backlight solutions as the next-generation iPad has a higher resolution than the present 2048x1536 to maintain the same brightness of the display. Rumors fly that Apple integrates two different LED backlights - each one on each face of the screen of iPad 3. Furthermore, the screen resolution enhancement which has been applied on iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S may improve the iPad's graphics to super sharp and ultra clear levels.

The Asus Transformer Prime which will be available in just a week or two is the best full-featured Android tablet yet, with a sexy design, thoughtful features, and an impressive camera. Here are latest information on Asus Transformer Prime’s release date, specs and features.

The 1.3-pound Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime ($499 for 32GB, $599 for 64GB), world’s first quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 tablet is said to be available online on the week of 12/19 December based on the pre-orders and inbound shipment schedules. Other sources said Transformer Prime will be available online on December 19, 2011 and retail the following week (December 26). Besides packing Nvidia's hot-off-the-presses Tegra 3 SoC, Asus Transformer Prime also sports a 10.1-inch (1280 x 800) Super IPS+ panel covered in Gorilla Glass, 1GB of RAM and comes in either 32GB or 64GB sizes; all wrapped in a 8.3mm-thick bushed metal casing that's a hair slimmer than the iPad 2 or Galaxy Tab 10.1.
